Who We Are

Our website is https://stayhomehire.com.

StayHomeHire is the public-facing remote job board and career resource brand. It is operated by OMGItzLo Projects, its parent company. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to the StayHomeHire service and, where applicable, OMGItzLo Projects as its operator.

Accounts and signing in

One StayHomeHire account works across article comments, likes and Side Stash. We keep your account identifier, username, email address, display name and the profile details you provide. Visit Account to review the controls available to you, or sign in. Public job listings, employer application links and free resources do not require a survey.

Email registration and password sign-in use our existing site account system. Account setup, password resets and email confirmations use service emails. Reset links help you choose a new site password; they do not reveal your existing password. Newsletter or marketing choices are separate from these account messages. New shared-account confirmation links expire after 24 hours and require an explicit confirmation step. We store an email-bound confirmation record, hashed single-use link information and limited delivery-status information; changing your email invalidates that proof. Pending members can still sign in, recover access and contact support, but must confirm their current email before adding comments or likes or opening free member packs.

Google sign-in

Google is currently our only third-party sign-in option. If you choose it, Google shares a sign-in confirmation and basic identity information: a Google account identifier, email address and verification status, and name or profile picture when supplied. These are the basic openid, email and profile permissions. We use them to create, find or connect your site account and sign you in.

We do not receive your Google password. This sign-in does not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts. Google handles its own account and sign-in data under its Privacy Policy. You can review connections in your Google Account. Removing a Google connection does not delete your StayHomeHire account or its records; contact us if you need help keeping another sign-in method.

Account security

Sign-in cookies maintain your site session. Side Stash uses email checks, rate limits and server-side access controls, and records relevant account and security activity. Technical signals can include IP addresses and browser information. StayHomeHire does not use invasive device fingerprinting by default; external survey providers have their own practices.

Members can add an authenticator for Side Stash. Sensitive Side Stash administration requires additional account checks, including authenticator and password confirmation where required. Google sign-in does not bypass Side Stash email, policy or security requirements. Contact support promptly about an unexpected change or lost access. No security control can eliminate every risk.

Bot protection

Google reCAPTCHA v2 helps protect password sign-in and registration. Google handles the challenge and browser checks, and we verify the response on our server. Password recovery and Google sign-in keep their existing flow. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms; contact support if you cannot use a check.

Comments

You must sign in to your StayHomeHire account to leave a comment or like an article. When you comment, we collect the information in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser information to help detect spam.

An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine if you are using it. You can view their privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/

Once your comment is approved, your comment, display name and profile picture (if linked to Gravatar) will be publicly visible.

Article likes store your account identifier, the article identifier and a timestamp. The article displays a like total; it does not publish your email address. You can remove your own like using the same control.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors may download and extract this information.

Cookies

We use cookies to improve your experience:

  • If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience (lasting one year)
  • A temporary cookie is set on the login page to check browser compatibility (no personal data stored)
  • Login cookies last for two days; “Remember Me” extends this to two weeks
  • Screen preference cookies last for one year
  • Editing or publishing content creates a temporary cookie that expires after one day

SideStash, surveys and Socks

SideStash is optional. We associate your confirmed Socks, kit unlocks, activity and account-review records with your StayHomeHire account. Socks unlock individual kits; they are not money and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or sold. Jobs and employer applications stay free. See the SideStash rules.

Our survey service is operated by Make Opinion GmbH. To request matching offers, we send an opaque survey account identifier, your network IP address and browser information. We do not send your WordPress password, account email, name, date of birth or postal code with this offer-list request. Offer lists are private to your account and cached for no longer than two minutes. When you open a survey, the provider and its survey partners may collect qualification details, answers, cookies and device information under their own notices. Review the survey provider privacy policy before participating.

Confirmed rewards, reversals, kit unlocks and adjustments are recorded so balances can be reconciled. Balance activity shows the last 120 days; this display window is not a promise to delete older records. When you flag an entry, authorised support reviewers receive its details and your message to investigate the issue. A report does not automatically change your balance.

Security signals normally expire after 30 days and terminal notification payloads after 90 days, subject to configured retention and active investigations. Sock activity, access records, reviews, audit records and earlier financial records are retained as needed to provide access, reconcile corrections and meet legitimate obligations. Closing an account does not silently erase unresolved records.

This content-Sock program does not require a bank or payout account. Never send banking passwords, payment passwords, PINs or unnecessary identity documents to support. Use Help for access, correction or deletion requests.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles).

Embedded content behaves the same as if you visited the external website directly. These third-party sites may collect data, use cookies, and track interactions.

Affiliate Links & Advertising

StayHomeHire uses affiliate links and advertising to support the platform.

This means we may earn a commission when you click links or make purchases—at no extra cost to you.

We only promote tools, services, and opportunities that align with our mission of helping people succeed in remote work.

Advertising Technology

OMGItzLo Projects maintains the advertising setup for StayHomeHire. Advertising providers may help deliver and measure ads on this site.

Advertising technology supports:

  • Ad delivery and media distribution
  • Performance tracking and reporting
  • Optimization of advertising across digital properties

Limited technical data may be processed for these purposes, including:

  • Device type and browser information
  • General (non-precise) location
  • Interaction and engagement metrics
  • Timestamps and system diagnostics

This data is used strictly for performance measurement, fraud prevention, and system integrity.

Advertising providers describe their data practices in their own privacy policies.

Analytics & Tracking

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site (pages visited, time spent, general location).

Google may use cookies and identifiers for analytics and advertising personalization.
Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Opt-out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use StayHomeHire through recordings of activity on individual pages, clicks, and scrolling. This helps us improve navigation and usability.

Form content and sensitive text are masked. Clarity cookies are turned off in our project, so visits to different pages are not joined into one recording. Microsoft may process technical and usage data to provide the service.

Who We Share Your Data With

  • If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the email
  • We may share aggregated, non-personal data with analytics and advertising providers
  • Analytics and advertising providers may process technical and usage data as described above

Data Retention

  • Comments and metadata are stored indefinitely for moderation and follow-up recognition
  • Account and profile information is kept to provide your account and handle support, security and legitimate outstanding obligations. Credit, access and review records may need to remain available for corrections or unresolved matters, as explained in the Side Stash rules.
  • Use available Account controls, or contact us to request access, correction or deletion. We may ask you to confirm control of the account. Some records may be retained for legitimate legal, administrative or security reasons.

Your Data Rights

If you have an account or have left comments, you can:

  • Request a copy of your personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data

Note: Some data may be retained for legal, administrative, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Hosting, sign-in, analytics and advertising providers may process technical, account or usage information as described in this policy and their own notices. Such information is not always anonymous. Their processing locations and retention practices are explained in their policies.

Comments may be processed through automated spam detection services

Facebook communities

StayHomeHire’s public Facebook communities are Moms, Minus the Commute | WFH Jobs by StayHomeHire and Clock In, Stay In | Remote & WFH Jobs by StayHomeHire. Public-group posts, comments and reactions can be seen beyond the membership, including by people who are not members. Check the group’s current privacy label before sharing.

Facebook is a Meta service. Your Facebook account and activity are handled by Meta under its separate Privacy Policy. Joining a Facebook group is separate from creating an account or submitting information on StayHomeHire.

Optional state/country and preferred-job-type prompts help us plan useful discussion. They are not job applications or requirements to join. Do not provide a street address, identity proof or private family details in response. You can choose “prefer not to share” or skip a prompt.

StayHomeHire admins may review group posts, comments and reports to apply the Facebook Group Rules. We may use group activity and insights that Facebook makes available for community management. We do not request banking details, government IDs, identity documents, passwords or unredacted resumes in group posts or recruiting messages. Apply through the verified employer’s official application process instead.

Members can manage their Facebook posts and account information using Facebook’s controls. Removing a post cannot guarantee that someone has not already copied or shared it. Contact the group admins about community moderation, or use the privacy contact below for a request about information handled by StayHomeHire. Meta’s handling of Facebook account and platform data follows its own policy.

Cookies and privacy choices

On job pages, confirming that you submitted an application stores an “Applied” marker in this browser for 90 days. It is your reminder, not confirmation from the employer. It does not disable the application link or sync across devices. Use Clear or your browser controls to remove it.

SideStash’s contextual placements use first-party cached images and aggregate click measurement. Those placements do not add third-party advertising scripts, pixels or profiling cookies to private member pages. Following a sponsored link opens the advertiser’s service, which has its own privacy practices.

What cookies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Local storage serves a similar purpose. Tracking can also use scripts, pixels and embedded content. Some technologies are necessary for sign-in, security and remembering a privacy choice; others support analytics, preferences or advertising.

Choose what works for you

Reject optional keeps optional categories off. Accept all allows the optional categories, subject to any active sale/share opt-out and Global Privacy Control signal. Customize lets you choose analytics, advertising, and preferences or embedded media separately. Essential storage stays on. Browsing or scrolling does not give consent.

Use the Privacy settings button to change your choices or withdraw optional consent at any time. Choices apply to this browser and device. Clearing browser storage may cause the banner to appear again. Optional code already loaded is stopped by reloading the page when you withdraw consent. Deleting cookies on another provider’s domain may require that provider’s tools or your browser settings.

Cookie and service information

Hosting measurement exception: verification found a hosting-injected Website Metrics script added after WordPress renders the page. The cookie banner cannot control that script at this layer. A hosting-level opt-out is pending; this page does not claim that all optional measurement is already blocked. See the hosting provider’s explanation and opt-out instructions.

The inventory describes services identified during setup and storage they may use. Cookie names and durations can change with provider configuration and the features you use. Sign-in, account tools, surveys and linked third-party sites may have additional notices. A linked employer or survey provider has its own privacy practices.

Advertising and Global Privacy Control

Open Privacy settings and choose Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to disable the marketing category for this browser. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), the plugin also disables marketing. It keeps a sale/share opt-out for 365 days where browser storage is available. An active opt-out is not reversed by Accept all. Contact us if you want help changing an opt-out or exercising rights relating to information held outside this browser.

Some advertising disclosures use the terms sale, sharing, or targeted advertising as defined by local law. These definitions can include some advertising disclosures even when no money changes hands. This control addresses the optional marketing integrations managed by our plugin; privacy requests about other processing can be made through our contact page. See California’s CCPA guidance and Colorado’s opt-out guidance.

Google consent and the certified message

Google Consent Mode v2 communicates choices for analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization. These technical signals do not certify a website or replace a privacy notice.

Our OMGItzLo Projects plugin supports a companion connection to Google’s certified AdSense consent message. When enabled, Google’s message manages its own publisher and vendor consent choices. The custom plugin itself is not Google-certified. Use Google advertising privacy choices in Privacy settings when the Google message is available.

StayHomeHire currently uses its own consent controls in standalone mode. Optional analytics follows the analytics choice; advertising follows the marketing choice and any active sale/share opt-out. A Google-certified AdSense message is a separate integration and is not claimed to be live. See Google’s publisher CMP requirements.

Privacy rights by region

The following is an information guide to the frameworks listed here, rather than a statement that every law applies to StayHomeHire or that every legal obligation is handled by a cookie banner. Applicability depends on your location, the organisation and the processing. Our optional-category controls use an opt-in approach worldwide. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of information, object to processing, opt out of certain uses, or complain to a regulator. Use our contact page for requests beyond browser cookie choices.

European Union / EEA — GDPR

The GDPR governs personal-data processing. Consent must meet its conditions and can be withdrawn. Separate ePrivacy rules also govern storage and access on devices. Read the law or official guidance.

United Kingdom — UK GDPR and PECR

UK guidance explains consent for non-exempt storage and access technologies and making refusal as easy as acceptance. Read the law or official guidance.

California — CCPA, as amended by CPRA

Covered businesses must provide applicable privacy rights, including opting out of sale or sharing and honoring qualifying opt-out signals. Read the law or official guidance.

Virginia — VCDPA / CDPA

The law provides rights for eligible consumers, including opting out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. Read the law or official guidance.

Colorado — CPA

Eligible consumers can opt out of sale and targeted advertising. Colorado recognizes GPC as a universal opt-out mechanism. Read the law or official guidance.

Utah — UCPA

The law includes consumer access and other rights and opt-outs for targeted advertising and sale, subject to its scope and exceptions. Read the law or official guidance.

Connecticut — CTDPA

Eligible consumers have privacy rights, and covered businesses must honor qualifying universal opt-out preference signals. Read the law or official guidance.

Australia — Privacy Act

The Australian Privacy Principles govern relevant handling of personal information. Tracking technologies need suitable notice, purpose and safeguards. Read the law or official guidance.

Brazil — LGPD

Personal-data processing needs an applicable legal basis. Brazil’s ANPD publishes guidance on cookies, choices and transparency. Read the law or official guidance.

Singapore — PDPA

Consent, notification and purpose obligations apply to covered handling of personal data, with statutory exceptions. Read the law or official guidance.

Thailand — PDPA

Where consent is the legal basis, individuals can withdraw it, subject to applicable restrictions. Read the law or official guidance.

Saudi Arabia — PDPL

The PDPL and implementing regulations govern covered processing and provide individual rights, including withdrawal where processing relies on consent. Read the law or official guidance.

Canada — PIPEDA

Meaningful consent requires understandable information about collection, use, disclosure and relevant consequences. Read the law or official guidance.

Quebec — private-sector privacy law, modernized by Law 25

Quebec guidance addresses consent and technologies used for identification, location or profiling, including keeping those functions off by default. Read the law or official guidance.

South Africa — POPIA

POPIA regulates personal-information processing and provides rights such as access, correction, objection and withdrawal of consent where applicable. Read the law or official guidance.

Technical frameworks are different from laws

IAB Europe’s Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) is an industry standard used to communicate publisher and vendor consent. Google Consent Mode is a tag-control mechanism. Neither is itself a privacy law. Google’s certified message provides its applicable framework signals; the custom banner does not invent TCF strings or a CMP certification number.

Your consent record

The consent cookie normally lasts 180 days. The plugin can retain a pseudonymous server receipt for 180 days, recording the choices, time, policy version and a random receipt identifier. The receipt does not include your name, email address, IP address or browser user-agent string. A temporary, salted network hash is used for request rate limiting. Ordinary hosting access logs may be handled separately, as explained in the Privacy Policy. You can download your current receipt from Privacy settings.

Questions, requests and complaints

Use our contact page for privacy requests, including access, correction, deletion, information about transfers or retention, and concerns about a consent choice. Tell us which request you want to make and the relevant browser receipt identifier if you have one. Do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents through the cookie controls. We may need proportionate information to locate records or verify requests when the applicable law permits or requires it. Where available, you may raise a complaint with your local privacy authority.

Cookie controls do not replace separate obligations concerning contracts with providers, security, international transfers, children’s data, privacy impact assessments, or handling rights requests. The settings here address browser choices; other processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
