THE STAYHOMEHIRE JOURNAL

Your Browser Tabs Need a Parking Lot

A job search can leave twenty tabs open because every page feels too important to close. Give those pages a place to wait without making your browser hold the whole plan.

Save the item with its next action

Record the employer, role, source and the one thing you need to do next. On StayHomeHire, include the Job ID. “Read location rules” is more useful than a bookmark named “job.” Keep the employer application link if you have reached the correct role page.

Create three short queues

Use “review,” “ready to apply” and “waiting.” Move a listing after you make a decision. You can use a document, paper or an existing task tool; the point is to separate collecting links from completing applications.

Close what you have captured

At the end of your search session, keep only the tab needed for your next action. Remove closed roles from the active queue and retain any application confirmation separately. A saved Job ID helps you revisit a listing, but it does not prove an application was submitted.
