What you will do
Post payments, adjustments and denials to patient accounts, retrieve remittance information from payer portals and other sources, and balance transactions daily. Investigate missing electronic remittances and correct claim or posting errors to keep accounts accurate.
Experience and skills
The employer seeks 2–3 years of medical billing, payment-posting or related revenue-cycle experience. You need payer-portal expertise, credit-balance and refund-processing experience, billing-software and EHR familiarity, and strong knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, CPT, ICD-10 and denial codes. Accurate data entry, reconciliation, organization and clear communication are important.
