HealthMark Group is hiring a remote Invoicing Specialist to support its Invoicing team with the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of medical records released to requestors.

The Invoicing Specialist reports to the Invoicing Manager and is responsible for creating medical record request invoices, following through with internal feedback mechanisms, and assisting with additional duties assigned by the Invoicing Manager.

Job Duties

• Create medical record request invoices in the MedRelease software.
• Follow up on internal feedback mechanisms to ensure issues are resolved.
• Assist the Audit Invoicing Manager with assigned duties.
• Resolve discrepancies in information and obtain additional information for incomplete documents.
• Work with internal teams to resolve identified issues.
• Respond to invoicing inquiries from third-party requesters.
• Record relevant notes on specific requests to ensure proper handling throughout the request lifecycle.
• Uphold HealthMark Group’s values by following its C.R.A.F.T. principles.
• Work quickly and efficiently to meet high-volume demand.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work quickly and diligently, both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to answer basic department questions.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other company departments.
• Ability to make sound decisions according to department guidelines.

Additional Skills & Experience

• Experience with medical record auditing is beneficial.

Privacy & HIPAA Requirements

This position does or may require regular access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and/or confidential client data.

Employees must understand and follow confidentiality requirements, HIPAA regulations, and organizational privacy and security policies.

Any known or suspected unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of PHI must be reported immediately to the appropriate Privacy Officer or Information Security team.

Employees must also complete all required company-sponsored and regulatory training programs in a timely manner.

Compensation

$17.00 – $19.00 per hour.
