The work
Follow up on health insurance claims, prepare appeals, research authorizations and payment delays, and maintain accurate claim-project records. Report recurring nonpayment issues to the team.
Requirements
A high school diploma or GED and at least five years of medical billing and insurance claim-filing experience are required. Applicants need medical billing software knowledge, familiarity with ICD and CPT terminology, Word and Excel skills, and typing speed of at least 40 words per minute. Ambulatory surgery, procedures or urology experience is preferred.
