Sedgwick Is Hiring a Remote Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner

Sedgwick is looking for an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to handle claims across several Southeastern states.

This is a full-time remote role for candidates with solid claims experience, and this one definitely isn’t beginner-level. Sedgwick wants someone who already understands workers’ compensation claims, investigations, benefits, settlements and jurisdiction-specific requirements. 

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll manage workers’ compensation claims from investigation through resolution.

That includes reviewing claim information, determining exposure and benefits due, developing action plans, negotiating settlements within your authority and keeping both claimants and clients updated throughout the process.

You may also report claims to excess carriers and respond to requests for direction while keeping cases moving within service expectations and industry requirements. 

What They’re Looking For

This role requires:

• High school diploma or GED
• Around 5 years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Florida workers’ compensation licensing
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation rules across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills

A bachelor’s degree and professional certification related to the line of business are preferred, but not listed as absolute requirements.
