Pay and schedule
The stated pay range is $18–$32 per hour. Work an eight-hour weekday shift within 6 a.m.–5 p.m. Pacific. First-month training runs 6 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Pacific. Occasional overtime may be required.
What you will do
Research and reconcile accounts, follow up on denied or underpaid claims, prepare appeals, interpret payer contracts and explain billing issues. Coordinate with patients, insurers and provider staff while keeping accurate records.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma/GED. At least one year of hospital/facility collections experience and recent Medicaid Managed or Medi-Cal Managed Care follow-up experience are required. Applicants need insurance-portal skills, familiarity with UB-04 forms and CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
A private workspace, secure documents and approved high-speed internet are required. This vacancy is open for remote work within the United States.
